  1. Through transmission – A transmitter probe on one side of a component transmits an ultrasonic pulse to a receiver probe on the other side. The absence of a pulse coming to the receiver indicates a defect.

Ultrasonic testing is widely use across various industries like aerospace, automotive, construction and etc. It can be applied on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials to detect defects and flaws in the materials, as well as thickness of the materials.
